apexGbeConfInRedundAutoSwitchBack

Module: APEX-MIB

OID (symbolic): APEX-MIB::apexGbeConfInRedundAutoSwitchBack

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.1166.1.31.7.1.4.1.3

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: EnableDisableTYPE

Access: read-write

Description: This is the enable/disable of automatic switch back from Secondary to Primary for Gigabit Ethernet redundancy. When 'enabled', switch back to the Primary will automatically occur when the Primary is restored. When 'disabled', the user must force back to the Primary using apexGbeConfInRedundForceToPrimary or apexManRteGbeInRedForceSwitch. This parameter applies to all configured redundant pairs.

Auto switch back to the primary will not occur if the user forced a failover to the secondary. Auto switch back only occurs after a non-forced failover event.

Once written, the change to this parameter will take immediate effect. However, in order for the change to persist through subsequent reboots or power cycles, the change must be saved via apexSaveConfig.

@Config(config=yes, reboot=no) @Save(apexSaveConfig, value=2) @File(gige_red.ini, type='ini')

What is apexGbeConfInRedundAutoSwitchBack?

Controls whether the APEX automatically reverts to the primary GbE input stream once it recovers, or requires manual intervention to switch back from the secondary. When disabled, an operator must explicitly force the return to the primary.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.1166.1.31.7.1.4.1.3
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> APEX-MIB::apexGbeConfInRedundAutoSwitchBack

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.1166.1.31.7.1.4.1.3.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> APEX-MIB::apexGbeConfInRedundAutoSwitchBack.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.1166.1.31.7.1.4.1.3.1 s <value>
