apexAutoRebootEnable

Module: APEX-MIB

OID (symbolic): APEX-MIB::apexAutoRebootEnable

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.1166.1.31.1.1.1.4

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: EnableDisableTYPE

Access: read-write

Description: Setting to 'enabled' allows the APEX to automatically reboot when specific APEX hardware errors occur. Setting this to Enabled will cause the APEX to automatically reboot upon specific HW faults, such as a GigE processor crash, or upon a Host processor watchdog event. When disabled, HW faults and watchdog events will not cause an automatic reboot. This is useful when it is necessary to debug the event (to allow time to gather status prior to manually rebooting).

Once written, the change to this parameter will take immediate effect. However, in order for the change to persist through subsequent reboots or power cycles, the change must be saved via the apexSaveConfig parameter.

@Config(config=yes, reboot=no) @Save(apexSaveConfig, value=2) @File(config.ini, type='ini')

What is apexAutoRebootEnable?

Enables or disables the APEX device's automatic self-reboot behavior when specific hardware faults are detected, such as a GigE processor crash or host processor watchdog event. When enabled, the device can recover from certain hardware errors without manual intervention.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.1166.1.31.1.1.1.4
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> APEX-MIB::apexAutoRebootEnable

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.1166.1.31.1.1.1.4.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> APEX-MIB::apexAutoRebootEnable.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.1166.1.31.1.1.1.4.1 s <value>

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> apexAutoRebootEnable.1
