Module: ALCATEL-IND1-VLAN-MGR-MIB
OID (symbolic): ALCATEL-IND1-VLAN-MGR-MIB::vlanMtu
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.6486.801.1.2.1.3.1.1.1.1.1.22
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: INTEGER

Description: Maximum transmission unit i.e. the maximum size of packet that this vlan can handle. It ranges from 1280 to 9198.
What is vlanMtu?
This is an integer representing the maximum transmission unit (packet size) a VLAN can handle, ranging from 1280 to 9198 bytes. Network engineers use this to prevent fragmentation and optimize throughput for specific VLAN traffic classes. For example, setting it to 9000 allows jumbo frames on a data center VLAN while keeping 1500 on user-facing access VLANs.
Examples
Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.6486.801.1.2.1.3.1.1.1.1.1.22 snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> ALCATEL-IND1-VLAN-MGR-MIB::vlanMtu
Get a specific instance (index 1):
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.6486.801.1.2.1.3.1.1.1.1.1.22.1 snmpget -v2c -c public <target> ALCATEL-IND1-VLAN-MGR-MIB::vlanMtu.1
Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):
snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.6486.801.1.2.1.3.1.1.1.1.1.22.1 i <value>
