chasPowerSupplyRedundancy

Module: ALCATEL-IND1-CHASSIS-MIB

OID (symbolic): ALCATEL-IND1-CHASSIS-MIB::chasPowerSupplyRedundancy

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.6486.801.1.1.1.3.1.1.3.1.24

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: This object indicates the state of power supply redundancy mode. When on(1), N+1 mode redundancy is enabled(default mode). In this mode the system controls the power supplies to maintain efficient use of the power supplies, with 1 extra power supply in case of a power supply failure. Unneeded power supplies are powered off. It can be set to off(2) to disable redundancy mode. In this mode all power supplies are powered on.

What is chasPowerSupplyRedundancy?

Controls and reports the power supply redundancy mode for the chassis, where enabling it activates N+1 redundancy so one extra power supply is available to take over if another fails. This setting can be modified to balance between redundancy protection and power efficiency.

Examples

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> ALCATEL-IND1-CHASSIS-MIB::chasPowerSupplyRedundancy

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.6486.801.1.1.1.3.1.1.3.1.24.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> ALCATEL-IND1-CHASSIS-MIB::chasPowerSupplyRedundancy.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.6486.801.1.1.1.3.1.1.3.1.24.1 i <value>

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> chasPowerSupplyRedundancy.1
