Description:
This object indicates what type of address is stored in the alarmActiveEngineAddress object - IPv4, IPv6, DNS, etc.
What is alarmClearEngineAddressType?
This object specifies the format or type of the address stored in the corresponding alarmClearEngineAddress field, such as IPv4, IPv6, or DNS. An SNMP management system uses this to understand how to interpret and parse the originating engine's address when an alarm has been cleared. This allows unified handling of alarms from SNMP engines at different network locations regardless of their address format.
