What Is AISYSCFGTIME-MIB?

AISYSCFGTIME-MIB is a proprietary Applied Innovation MIB dedicated to timekeeping configuration on console server / out-of-band management appliances, covering time zone, daylight-saving enable/status, and SNTP/NTP client settings. It exposes scalars for time zone and DST state plus a table of configured NTP servers with their addresses and poll intervals, functioning as a focused configuration and status MIB for clock synchronization. For device status monitoring it lets an administrator confirm whether SNTP is enabled, whether daylight saving is currently active, and which NTP servers are configured and being polled, which is important because accurate device time affects the validity of logged events and trap timestamps. It complements standard timekeeping references (SNTP/NTP protocol) but is itself a vendor-specific configuration MIB rather than an IETF standard. It is typically deployed on Applied Innovation console servers and remote access appliances in telecom sites where consistent, synchronized time across many devices is required for log correlation. Engineers can download the AISYSCFGTIME-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in AISYSCFGTIME-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

What Can Be Monitored

  • time zone setting
  • daylight saving enabled/status
  • SNTP enabled state and poll interval
  • configured NTP server addresses

Supported Devices

  • Applied Innovation console server appliance
  • Applied Innovation remote access device

Monitoring Examples

An operator would check aiSCTimeSntpEnabled and aiSCTimeSntpPollInterval to confirm the device is actively synchronizing time, then walk aiSCTimeNtpServerTable/aiSCTimeNtpServerEntry to verify aiSCTimeNtpServerAddress points to the correct time source. If aiSCDaylightSavingStatus doesn't match the expected seasonal state or an NTP server entry is missing, device logs and traps could carry incorrect timestamps, complicating troubleshooting.
