What Is AIHUBPORT-MIB?
AIHUBPORT-MIB is a vendor-specific module from Applied Innovation used to manage and monitor the individual hub/concentrator ports on its remote access concentrator products. It exposes a per-port configuration table mapping each hub port to a standard interface index, along with port speed-control settings. Its monitoring role centers on port-level hardware status — link/connection state and configured speed of each hub port — letting an operator confirm which ports are active and correctly negotiated on a multi-port concentrator chassis. It ties directly into the standard IF-MIB via the hubPortIfIndex linkage, reusing ifIndex-based interface statistics rather than duplicating them. It's typically deployed on Applied Innovation modem/hub concentrator chassis used for remote dial-up or serial device aggregation in legacy telecom and utility networks. Engineers can download the AIHUBPORT-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

Monitoring Examples
An operator would walk hubPortCnfTable, indexed by hubPortIndex, and use hubPortIfIndex to cross-reference each hub port against the corresponding ifOperStatus/ifSpeed entries in the standard IF-MIB for full link statistics. hubPortSpeedCtrl shows the configured speed/duplex setting for a port, which is checked when a port's actual negotiated speed doesn't match expectations. A port showing an unexpected ifOperStatus of down alongside a mismatched hubPortSpeedCtrl setting typically points to a cabling or auto-negotiation problem on that concentrator port.
