Module: ADSL-LINE-MIB

OID (symbolic): ADSL-LINE-MIB::adslAturConfMaxSnrMgn

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.2.1.10.94.1.1.14.1.19

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-create

Description:

Configured Maximum acceptable Signal/Noise Margin. If the Noise Margin is above this the modem should attempt to reduce its power output to optimize its operation.

What is adslAturConfMaxSnrMgn?

This OID specifies the maximum Signal-to-Noise Margin (SNR) in tenths of a dB above which the modem reduces its power output to conserve energy. Network engineers set this ceiling to prevent the modem from wasting power when line quality is already excellent. For example, setting this to 100 (10.0 dB) causes the modem to automatically reduce transmit power if SNR exceeds 10.0 dB.
