This OID accumulates all downstream blocks received today since the current day's measurement window began. Engineers rely on this for daily throughput accounting and to spot trends—a low daily block count might indicate the customer was off-peak or the link was down for part of the day. A value of 1.8 million blocks by end of day represents the total throughput that flowed downstream.
