Description:

Configured Maximum Transmit rate for `Fast' channels, in bps. See adslAturConfRateChanRatio for information regarding RADSL mode and ATUC transmit rate for ATUR receive rates.

What is adslAturChanConfFastMaxTxRate?

This OID specifies the maximum transmission rate in bits per second allowed for fast channels on the ATUR side. Network engineers use this ceiling to prevent fast channels from consuming all available bandwidth on the remote modem. Setting this to 6000000 (6 Mbps) caps the fast channel at 6 Mbps maximum, leaving bandwidth for other traffic.
