Module: ADSL-LINE-MIB

OID (symbolic): ADSL-LINE-MIB::adslAtucConfMaxSnrMgn

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.2.1.10.94.1.1.14.1.5

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-create

Description:

Configured Maximum acceptable Signal/Noise Margin. If the Noise Margin is above this the modem should attempt to reduce its power output to optimize its operation.

What is adslAtucConfMaxSnrMgn?

This OID sets the maximum acceptable Signal-to-Noise Margin in 0.1 dB units above which the modem reduces its transmit power to save energy. Network operators configure this to prevent the modem from wasting power when conditions are unusually good. A value of 300 (representing 30 dB) tells the modem to back off if the margin exceeds this, reducing electromagnetic interference.
