Description:

Configured Maximum Transmit rate for `Fast' channels, in bps. See adslAtucConfRateChanRatio for information regarding RADSL mode and see ATUR transmit rate for ATUC receive rates.

What is adslAtucChanConfFastMaxTxRate?

This OID sets the ceiling for how fast the fast channels can transmit on the ATUC side, measured in bits per second. Network engineers use this to prevent fast channels from monopolizing all available bandwidth and starving interleaved channels. For instance, setting this to 5000000 (5 Mbps) caps the fast channel at exactly 5 Mbps even if more bandwidth is available on the line.
