What is atmSuPortAtmVclStatsTxCells?
This counter totals all the ATM cells transmitted out of the Virtual Channel Link regardless of priority or type. Network engineers use this fundamental metric to calculate throughput, verify that data is actually flowing on the channel, and to spot when a channel has gone silent. If this counter hasn't increased in the past hour, the channel is dead and should be investigated; a steady increase of 100 million cells per hour indicates a fully utilized OC-3 ATM port.
