Supported only for STRUCTURED or STRUCTURED WITH POINTER service. OFF - Pointer parity generation and checking disabled. Supported only for STRUCTURED or STRUCTURED WITH POINTER service. N/A - Not applicable. This is the only option when selecting UNSTRUCTURED or STRUCTURED WITHOUT POINTER.
What is atmCbrCnfgParity?
This OID enables or disables pointer parity bit generation and checking for error detection in STRUCTURED or STRUCTURED WITH POINTER AAL1 connection types. Network engineers enable parity protection in high-reliability networks to catch single-bit transmission errors in the pointer field, though it adds minor overhead and processing latency. Setting it to 'ON' activates parity generation at transmit and validation at receive, catching pointer corruption; 'OFF' disables this protection entirely.
