This OID stores the maximum jitter value observed from the near end during the measurement period, expressed in microseconds. A network engineer uses this to identify periods of high variability or congestion that caused the worst timing inconsistencies. A value of 2000 microseconds (2 ms) represents the largest gap between consecutive packet delays in the period.
