This counter tracks the total count of packets, whether good or corrupted, that were exactly 64 bytes long when transmitted (not counting preamble or frame delimiter). Engineers use this to understand the size distribution of traffic leaving the port and to identify unusual traffic patterns. For example, a very high count of 64-byte packets might indicate many small control frames or protocol handshakes; a value of 10000 means 10000 minimum-sized packets left the port.
