This counter tracks all packets, good or bad, that are 128-255 bytes long, covering medium-sized frames. Network engineers use this range to profile their traffic and detect scenarios where medium packets might be dominating the link. A value of 200,000 packets in this size range tells you a significant portion of traffic (in this example, 20%) is medium-length frames rather than jumbo or minimum-size packets.
