Description:

Checksumming of XNS protocol

What is accXnsCkSum?

This object determines whether the XNS protocol will calculate and verify checksums on packets to detect corruption during transmission. You'd enable checksumming in networks with unreliable links where packet corruption is a concern, or disable it to reduce CPU overhead on clean, trusted networks. For example, enabling it (value 1) adds error detection to every XNS packet sent or received.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.21.1.2
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> ACC-XNS::accXnsCkSum

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.21.1.2.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> ACC-XNS::accXnsCkSum.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.21.1.2.1 i <value>

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> accXnsCkSum.1
