accL2tpUdpTransportFixedAddress

Module: ACC-L2TP

OID (symbolic): ACC-L2TP::accL2tpUdpTransportFixedAddress

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.71.2.1.2.1.5

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Configures the L2tp UDP transport layer to support multihomed or roaming remote clients.Supporting multihomed remote clients enables the tunnel peer to change its IP address; this typically occurs if the remote client is multihomed or has a co-located LAC and roams out of a zone.

What is accL2tpUdpTransportFixedAddress?

Determines whether this tunnel endpoint must maintain a fixed source IP address or can roam to different addresses as the client moves. Network engineers enable this for roaming clients (laptops, mobile devices) that may move between networks and obtain new IP addresses through DHCP. Setting to YES locks the remote client to a single IP; setting to NO allows it to seamlessly reconnect from a new IP.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.71.2.1.2.1.5
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> ACC-L2TP::accL2tpUdpTransportFixedAddress

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.71.2.1.2.1.5.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> ACC-L2TP::accL2tpUdpTransportFixedAddress.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.71.2.1.2.1.5.1 i <value>

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> accL2tpUdpTransportFixedAddress.1
