Description: Causes the L2TP protocol to ignore the proxy authentication information obtained by the L2TP access concentrator (LAC) if the proxy authentication method is CHAP. When L2TP ignores the proxy authentication, the PPP protocol is forced to challenge the remote client again.
What is accL2tpProxyAuthentication?
This OID controls whether the device accepts proxy authentication credentials from LAC (L2TP Access Concentrator) or forces PPP to re-authenticate the client. Enable this to skip redundant authentication when the LAC has already verified the user, reducing connection delays. For example, set it to "disabled" if the LAC uses CHAP and you want to force the remote client to authenticate again.
