mplsLabelStackIndexNext

Module: A3COM-HUAWEI-MPLS-LSR-MIB

OID (symbolic): A3COM-HUAWEI-MPLS-LSR-MIB::mplsLabelStackIndexNext

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.43.45.1.5.12.1.1.11

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Integer32

Access: read-only

Description: This object contains an appropriate value to be used for mplsLabelStackIndex when creating entries in the mplsLabelStackTable. The value 0 indicates that no unassigned entries are available. To obtain an mplsLabelStackIndex value for a new entry, the manager issues a management protocol retrieval operation to obtain the current value of this object. After each retrieval operation, the agent should modify the value to reflect the next unassigned index. After a manager retrieves a value the agent will determine through its local policy when this index value will be made available for reuse.

What is mplsLabelStackIndexNext?

This read-only integer provides the next available index for creating a new MPLS label stack entry. Network engineers use it to obtain a unique identifier before adding a new label stack configuration. For example, a value of 42 indicates the next entry should use index 42; a value of 0 means no indexes are currently available.
