What is zyNdpPrefixPreferredLifetime?

Sets the preferred lifetime, in seconds, advertised for this IPv6 prefix, i.e. how long hosts should keep using addresses from it as their preferred source address before deprecating them, per the object's description. Admins use it alongside zyNdpPrefixValidLifetime to implement graceful IPv6 address renumbering, since a deprecated-but-still-valid address avoids abruptly breaking active connections. The default of 604800 seconds, or 7 days, means hosts prefer addresses from this prefix for a week before switching to any newer prefix advertised, even though the address stays technically valid longer per zyNdpPrefixValidLifetime.
