What Is ZXR10-MPPP-MIB?
ZXR10-MPPP-MIB is a ZTE proprietary MIB for the ZXR10 (ZXROSng) router/switch platform, covering Multilink PPP (MLPPP) bundle configuration — the technique of aggregating multiple physical serial/PPP links into a single logical higher-bandwidth channel. It exposes a member-link table describing each physical link's association with its master (bundle) port, including master/physical port names and indices, per-member interface operational state, and Endpoint Discriminator (EPD) configuration used for multilink fragment reassembly, plus a multilink bundle table for the aggregate itself. Its monitoring value is centered on link-aggregation health: operators track the member interface state to see if any physical link in the bundle has gone down, reducing available bandwidth without necessarily dropping the whole bundle, and verify EPD consistency between local and remote ends to catch multilink negotiation mismatches. It builds on the IETF Multilink PPP standard (RFC 1990) that defines the MLPPP bundling and fragment-reassembly mechanism this MIB manages. It is deployed on ZTE ZXR10 routers used in WAN aggregation scenarios where multiple lower-speed serial/PPP circuits are bonded for additional bandwidth or resiliency, and a ZXR10-MPPP-MIB download lets operators confirm every member link in a bundle stays up.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in ZXR10-MPPP-MIB. An operator would poll zxr10MpppMemberTable/zxr10MpppMemberEntry, keyed by zxr10MpppMemberMasterPortIndex and zxr10MpppMemberPhysicalIndex, to check zxr10MpppMemberIfState for each physical link in a bundle and detect that one member link has dropped out of an otherwise-up multilink bundle. Checking zxr10MpppMemberRowStatus alongside zxr10MpppMultilinkTable/zxr10MpppMultilinkEntry would confirm whether a newly added or removed member link has been properly committed to the bundle's active configuration, and comparing zxr10MpppMemberConfigEPD to zxr10MpppMemberRemoteEPD would help diagnose a bundle failing to form due to an endpoint-discriminator mismatch.
