wtnRadioAmplifiersEnable
Module: ZHONE-PHY-WTN-RADIO-MIB
OID (symbolic): ZHONE-PHY-WTN-RADIO-MIB::wtnRadioAmplifiersEnable
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.5504.5.8.1.1.8
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: TruthValue
Access: read-write
Description: true(1) - Enables amplifiers for transmitter and receiver. The radio will begin transmitting and receiving data. If the ODU is looped back, unable to lock onto a signal, or the ODU equipment has failed, the enable command will return an error trap and the amplifier enable state will transition to disableAmplifiers(2).
false(2) - shuts down the transmit and receive amplifiers of the ODU. This will cause the link to go down. Payload will be dropped.
When the amplifiers are turned off, the active and standby channel assignments may be freely changed, if necessary, but notification of such changes to the far end will not be done automatically. That is, channel assignments made when the amplifiers are disabled must be done manually at each node - near end and far end.
Default value after power up is false(2).
What is wtnRadioAmplifiersEnable?
Turns the ODU's transmit and receive amplifiers on (true, bringing the radio link up) or off (false, the power-up default, which drops the link and any payload); an admin who disables them can freely change channel assignments locally but must also update the far end manually since automatic notification does not happen with amplifiers off.
