Description: For alarms on CPEs. True if alarm was reported by the CPE itself in response to a physical condition on the CPE or on one of its ports.

What is alarmCpeInternal?

This is a notification-only boolean that, for CPE-related alarms, indicates whether the alarm was reported by the customer premises equipment itself due to a physical condition on the CPE or one of its ports. An admin uses this flag to distinguish alarms self-reported by the remote CPE device from alarms detected by the central office equipment about that CPE, which affects how the fault should be diagnosed or escalated. For example, alarmCpeInternal set to true means the CPE itself detected and reported a physical fault, such as a failed internal port, rather than the network inferring the problem from signal loss.
