zhIpCidrRouteNextHopAS

Module: ZHONE-COM-IP-ROUTE-MIB

OID (symbolic): ZHONE-COM-IP-ROUTE-MIB::zhIpCidrRouteNextHopAS

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.5504.4.1.7.3.1.9

What is zhIpCidrRouteNextHopAS?

This read-write object reports the Autonomous System Number of this route's next hop, with its meaning determined by the routing protocol in zhIpCidrRouteProto and defaulting to zero when not applicable. Admins use it primarily for BGP-learned routes to identify which AS the traffic is being routed toward next, useful for verifying expected inter-domain routing paths. A zhIpCidrRouteNextHopAS of 65001 on a BGP-learned route confirms traffic to that destination is being routed via a next hop in that specific autonomous system.
