zhRip2GlobalAdminState

Module: ZHONE-COM-IP-RIPv2-MIB

OID (symbolic): ZHONE-COM-IP-RIPv2-MIB::zhRip2GlobalAdminState

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.5504.4.1.2.1.1.3

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: An enumeration of the operational state of RIP for a RD. The possible values are either 'disabled' or 'enabled', where the operation of RIP is completely disabled or enabled on all interfaces within a RD. The default is 'enabled'.

What is zhRip2GlobalAdminState?

This read-write INTEGER (disabled(1)/enabled(2)), defaulting to enabled, controls, per its source description, whether RIP operation is completely enabled or disabled across all interfaces within this routing domain. Admins set this to disabled to shut off RIP entirely for a routing domain, such as during a migration to a different routing protocol, without needing to touch each interface's individual configuration. For example, setting this to disabled(1) would immediately stop RIP updates on every interface belonging to that routing domain.
