What is stpEarlyLoopCount?

Counts how many times the early-loop-detection feature has fired, i.e. how many suspected loop conditions it caught. A growing count is worth investigating as a sign of an unstable or misconfigured topology. (The source XYPLEX-BRIDGE-MIB predates the DESCRIPTION-clause convention and has no description text for any object; this reading is inferred from the object's name, SYNTAX/ACCESS, and standard bridge/STP/serial-line conventions.)

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.33.5.2.23.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> XYPLEX-BRIDGE-MIB::stpEarlyLoopCount.1
