Access: read-only
Description: A call progress counter, displayed by CLI command 'inmoderr'. Number of times this modem has been told to answer.
What is mdmStatChat?
This read-only Counter, shown by the CLI command 'inmoderr', tracks how many times this modem has been instructed to answer an incoming call attempt. An admin uses it alongside mdmStatDcd to see what fraction of answer attempts actually resulted in an established connection. If mdmStatChat is climbing steadily but mdmStatDcd stays flat, that gap points to modems answering calls that then fail to connect.
