mdmCtlResetAll

Module: XYLO-MODEM-MIB

OID (symbolic): XYLO-MODEM-MIB::mdmCtlResetAll

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.15.2.100.4.1

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Setting this object to execute(2) causes a hardware reset on all internal modems. This will terminate any active session on the modem. Setting this object will not read or change the modem configuration. Reading this object will always return ready(1). This object is similar to NA/admin command 'reset int_modem all'. This object replaces the option intmodems(18) for the MIB object anxcReset.

What is mdmCtlResetAll?

This read-write enumerated control object, set to execute(2), triggers a hardware reset of every internal modem on the device simultaneously, terminating any active sessions but leaving modem configuration untouched. It's the SNMP equivalent of the NA/admin command 'reset int_modem all', giving an admin a way to recover a chassis full of hung modems without physically power-cycling anything. Reading this object always returns ready(1), so an admin must actively set it to execute(2) to trigger the reset.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.15.2.100.4.1
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> XYLO-MODEM-MIB::mdmCtlResetAll

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.15.2.100.4.1.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> XYLO-MODEM-MIB::mdmCtlResetAll.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.15.2.100.4.1.1 i <value>

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> mdmCtlResetAll.1
