xylanSonetClearCurrentSample
Module: XYLAN-SONET-MIB
OID (symbolic): XYLAN-SONET-MIB::xylanSonetClearCurrentSample
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.800.2.23.1.1.1.3
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: INTEGER
Access: read-write
Description: This variable indicates which layer error statistics are to be cleared. When this variable is set, the corresponding current interval sample will be cleared. The xylanSonetClearCurrentSample is a bit map represented as a sum. So multiple tables can be cleared by one set.
The bit positions are : 0 None 1 Section 2 Line 4 FarEndLine 8 Path 16 FarEndPath 31 All
What is xylanSonetClearCurrentSample?
This object is a bitmap-style command where setting specific bit values clears the current-interval error-statistics sample for one or more SONET layers, Section, Line, Far-End Line, Path, or Far-End Path, with 31 clearing all of them at once. An admin writes the appropriate sum of bit values to reset just the counters they are interested in re-baselining, for example after fixing a fault, without clearing unrelated layers. For example, writing the value 2 would clear only the current Line-layer sample, while writing 31 would clear the current sample across every SONET layer at once.

Get a specific instance (index 1):
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.800.2.23.1.1.1.3.1 snmpget -v2c -c public <target> XYLAN-SONET-MIB::xylanSonetClearCurrentSample.1
Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):
snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.800.2.23.1.1.1.3.1 i <value>
SNMPv3 example:
snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> xylanSonetClearCurrentSample.1
