Module: XYLAN-MGMTSTN-MIB
OID (symbolic): XYLAN-MGMTSTN-MIB::stationTrapFlags
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.800.2.5.1.1.1.5
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: OCTET STRING
Access: read-write
Description: The trap mask flags for this entity. Currently this is four unsigned ints. The default value is ALL traps enabled to this entity -> f's. The actual order of flag words sent is 0->3.... In the Xylan agent implimentation, Enable and SA are taken from the first two bits in the string.
What is stationTrapFlags?
This 16-byte octet string holds four unsigned 32-bit trap mask flags controlling which trap categories are sent to this management station, with the default value of all-1s enabling every trap type. An admin can selectively disable categories of traps to a given NMS by clearing specific bits, and on Xylan agents the Enable and SA settings are derived from the first two bits of this string rather than from the dedicated stationEnable and stationSAPrivs objects alone. For example, an admin wanting to suppress a class of traps to a noisy monitoring station would clear the corresponding bit rather than deleting the whole entry.
