Module: XYLAN-MGMTSTN-MIB
OID (symbolic): XYLAN-MGMTSTN-MIB::stationSAPrivs
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.800.2.5.1.1.1.7
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: INTEGER
Access: read-write
Description: The SA priviledge flag for this NMS. If this is 2, this NMS can modify and delete any entry in the NMS table. Otherwise it is 1 and this station can modify/delete only it's own entry. NOTE: a station can't create a new entry for itself with the SA mode set.... (kinda defeats the SA doesn't it?).
What is stationSAPrivs?
This integer flag grants a management station either full or limited administrative privilege over the trap-destination table: a value of 2 lets that station modify or delete any entry in the table, while 1 restricts it to modifying or deleting only its own entry. The description notes a station cannot create a new entry for itself while its own SA mode is set to 2, an intentional restriction to prevent a station from granting itself unrestricted access. For example, a central NMS responsible for managing all trap destinations across the fleet would be configured with stationSAPrivs set to 2, while individual departmental monitoring stations would be left at 1.
