xivMachineStatus
Module: XIV-MIB
OID (symbolic): XIV-MIB::xivMachineStatus
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2021.77.1.1.1.1
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: OCTET STRING
Access: read-only
Description: The current operational state of the system.
What is xivMachineStatus?
This OCTET STRING reports the current operational state of the IBM XIV system as a whole, as a status string. An admin polls it as a top-level health check for the array, complementing per-interface status (xivIfStatus) and per-disk failure counts (xivFailedDisks). A change in this value away from a normal-operation string is typically the first signal an admin would see of a system-wide alert condition.
