What is xipMRouteInterfaceProtocol?

This object selects which multicast routing protocol, none, DVMRP, or PIM Dense Mode per the values actually enabled in this build of the MIB, is active on a given virtual multicast interface. An admin sets this to enable multicast routing with the desired protocol on an interface, or leaves it at none to keep multicast routing off there. For example, setting xipMRouteInterfaceProtocol to dvmrp(4) on a LAN-facing interface would turn on DVMRP-based multicast routing for that interface.
