xsshdCfgAuthGraceTime

Module: XEDIA-SSHD-MIB

OID (symbolic): XEDIA-SSHD-MIB::xsshdCfgAuthGraceTime

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.838.3.35.1.1.1.12

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: The total number of seconds allowd for host/user authentication. In most cases only a few seconds is needed. But, in the case of user/password authentication, the user may 'stall' the session by not supplying a password in a timely manner. This object roughly defines the number of seconds to wait for the entire authentication process to complete. It is NOT an exact number of seconds. The authentication status is checked as a background task (specific timer interval) for each session thread. Therefore, it MAY take a few seconds beyond the configured value for the connection to be terminated.

What is xsshdCfgAuthGraceTime?

Roughly bounds, in seconds (10-600, default 20), how long the whole host/user authentication exchange is allowed to take before the session is terminated for stalling; because it's checked by a periodic background timer, the actual cutoff may run a few seconds past this value.
