Description: A 32-bit integer that determines the duration of time a TCP session in which a SYN without an ACK was seen remains in the translation table before being aged out.
What is xnatSynTimeout?
The number of seconds (0-86400, default 120) a TCP translation entry stays in the NAT table after a SYN was seen without a matching ACK, before being aged out. An admin would raise this if legitimate TCP handshakes over a slow link are being aged out before they complete.
