communityAuthKeyUp

Module: XEDIA-MIB

OID (symbolic): XEDIA-MIB::communityAuthKeyUp

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.838.1.2.1.17

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: OCTET STRING

Access: read-create

Description: The 'random'+'delta' offset used to re-calculate the privacy key. Both the random and delta components must be of 'key length' (16-md5, or 20-sha). Therefor, the length of the whole value must be 32 or 40 bytes. Using a zero length offset will result in no change being made to the key.

What is communityAuthKeyUp?

A random-plus-delta offset value used to rotate this community's existing authentication key in place, rather than replacing it outright; its length must match twice the key length, 32 bytes for MD5, 40 for SHA, and a zero-length write leaves the key unchanged.
