ipsecSecurityProfileExpirationVolume

Module: XEDIA-IPSEC-MIB

OID (symbolic): XEDIA-IPSEC-MIB::ipsecSecurityProfileExpirationVolume

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.838.3.14.1.2.1.7

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Unsigned32

Access: read-create

Description: The number of KBytes before re-keying. When 0, SA expiration volume is disabled. The default is 0. The minimum allowed expiration volume value is 100 KBytes. The maximum is 1000000KBytes (i.e., 10GBytes). Rekeying begins when 95% of the volume limit has been used up.

What is ipsecSecurityProfileExpirationVolume?

This OID sets, in KBytes, how much data an SA under this profile can carry before rekeying is triggered, ranging from 100 KBytes to 1,000,000 KBytes (10 GBytes), or 0 (the default) to disable volume-based expiration; rekeying begins once 95% of the limit is used. An engineer enables a volume limit here on high-throughput tunnels to force rekeying based on data volume rather than relying solely on the time-based expiration timer.
