xbgpReflection

Module: XEDIA-BGP-MIB

OID (symbolic): XEDIA-BGP-MIB::xbgpReflection

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.838.3.9.1.3

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-create

Description: The administrative status of BGP route reflection. The value 'full(1)' indicates that BGP will perform full route reflection among client and non-client peers. A value of 'nonClientToClient(2)' indicates that routes will only be reflected between clients and non-clients, not among clients. A value of 'none(3)' indicates that no reflection will occur, regardless of the specific peer configuration.

What is xbgpReflection?

This read-create enumeration — full(1), noClientToClient(2), or none(3), defaulting to none — controls the router's BGP route reflection behavior: full reflects routes among both client and non-client peers, noClientToClient reflects only between clients and non-clients (not among clients), and none disables reflection entirely regardless of per-peer settings. It lets an admin centrally control whether this router acts as a route reflector in an IBGP mesh. An admin deploying this router as a route reflector for a full mesh of clients would set xbgpReflection to full(1).
