xbgpOperStatus
Module: XEDIA-BGP-MIB
OID (symbolic): XEDIA-BGP-MIB::xbgpOperStatus
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.838.3.9.1.2
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: INTEGER
Access: read-only
Description: The current operational state of BGP on the router.
What is xbgpOperStatus?
This read-only enumeration, up(1) or down(2), reports the current operational state of BGP on the router, separate from the administrative setting in xbgpAdminStatus. An admin polls it to confirm that enabling BGP actually resulted in the process running. If xbgpAdminStatus is enabled(1) but xbgpOperStatus reports down(2), that mismatch signals a startup problem worth investigating.
