xbgpClusterId

Module: XEDIA-BGP-MIB

OID (symbolic): XEDIA-BGP-MIB::xbgpClusterId

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.838.3.9.1.4

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-create

Description: The route reflector cluster id used when there are multiple route reflectors in a cluster.

What is xbgpClusterId?

This read-create INTEGER (0..2147483647) sets the route reflector cluster ID used to identify this router's cluster when multiple route reflectors serve the same cluster. It prevents routing loops by letting reflectors recognize and discard routes that have already traversed their own cluster. An admin deploying two redundant route reflectors for the same client group would configure both with the same xbgpClusterId value, e.g. 100.
