Description: The DR Election Priority option is used when people want to have control over which router is elected as the DR, irrespective of the address of routers on the same LAN. This is needed on LANs where new routers can be added and configured by different operators.

The numerically larger priority is always preferred. The DR election priority is used only when all routers on the LAN include this option in their Hellos.

A value of zero will disable this feature on the LAN.

What is wfPimIfLocalDRPriority?

This interface's Designated Router (DR) election priority (0-65535, default 1); the numerically higher priority wins DR election, but only if every router on the LAN advertises this option in its Hellos - a value of 0 disables the feature on that LAN.

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> Wellfleet-PIM-MIB::wfPimIfLocalDRPriority

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.18.3.5.3.14.2.1.13.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> Wellfleet-PIM-MIB::wfPimIfLocalDRPriority.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.18.3.5.3.14.2.1.13.1 i <value>

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> wfPimIfLocalDRPriority.1
