wwwServiceProtocol

Module: WWW-MIB

OID (symbolic): WWW-MIB::wwwServiceProtocol

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.2.1.65.1.1.1.1.4

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: OBJECT IDENTIFIER

Access: read-only

Description: An identification of the primary protocol in use by this service. For Internet applications, the IANA maintains a registry of the OIDs which correspond to well-known application protocols. If the application protocol is not listed in the registry, an OID value of the form

{applTCPProtoID port} or {applUDPProtoID port} are used for TCP-based and UDP-based protocols, respectively. In either case 'port' corresponds to the primary port number being used by the protocol.

What is wwwServiceProtocol?

This identifies the primary application protocol this service uses, as an OID from IANA's registry of well-known protocols, or in the form {applTCPProtoID port} / {applUDPProtoID port} (from RFC 2248's NETWORK-SERVICES-MIB) when the protocol isn't separately registered. Admins use this to confirm which protocol and port a given monitored service entry actually represents when a device offers more than one WWW-related protocol.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.2.1.65.1.1.1.1.4
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> WWW-MIB::wwwServiceProtocol

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.2.1.65.1.1.1.1.4.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> WWW-MIB::wwwServiceProtocol.1
