Description: when this object is set to 'true' the rstp operation for the bridge is enabled. Setting this object to 'false' disable bridge rstp operations.

What is wwpSysCtrlBridgeRSTPEnable?

Setting this object to true(1) enables Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol (RSTP) operation for the bridge, while setting it to false(2), the default, disables RSTP loop-prevention on the device. An administrator enables this on a switch participating in a redundant Layer 2 topology to prevent bridging loops while getting RSTP's faster convergence compared to legacy STP. For example, setting wwpSysCtrlBridgeRSTPEnable to true(1) on a switch with two uplinks to the core lets RSTP quickly block the redundant path and prevent a broadcast storm.
