wwpSystemBackupNotifEnabled

Module: WWP-SYSTEM-CONFIG-APPS-MIB

OID (symbolic): WWP-SYSTEM-CONFIG-APPS-MIB::wwpSystemBackupNotifEnabled

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.6141.2.20.1.1.4

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: TruthValue

Access: read-write

Description: This variable indicates whether the system generates the wwpSystemBackupAppNotification. A false value prevents this notifications from being generated by this system.

What is wwpSystemBackupNotifEnabled?

This read-write boolean controls whether the device generates a wwpSystemBackupAppNotification trap, defaulting to true; setting it false suppresses that notification. An admin sets it to false if they do not want to be alerted via SNMP trap when backup-application-related events occur, or leaves it at the default to receive proactive notifications. For example, an admin integrating the device with a trap-based NMS would leave this at true so a backup application change or issue is immediately reported.
