wwpLeosBroadcastContainmentGlobalTime

Module: WWP-LEOS-BROADCAST-CONTAINMENT-MIB

OID (symbolic): WWP-LEOS-BROADCAST-CONTAINMENT-MIB::wwpLeosBroadcastContainmentGlobalTime

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.6141.2.60.8.1.7

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Integer32

Access: read-write

Description: The global broadcast containment sample or integration time. The default is 100ms.

What is wwpLeosBroadcastContainmentGlobalTime?

This sets the sampling or integration window, in milliseconds, over which the device measures broadcast traffic rates for containment decisions, defaulting to 100ms. Admins tune this to balance responsiveness against measurement stability: a shorter window reacts faster to bursts but is more sensitive to short spikes, while a longer window smooths out transient bursts. Setting wwpLeosBroadcastContainmentGlobalTime to 500 milliseconds makes the device average broadcast rate over a longer window before triggering containment actions.
