wwpLeosBroadcastContainmentCapability

Module: WWP-LEOS-BROADCAST-CONTAINMENT-MIB

OID (symbolic): WWP-LEOS-BROADCAST-CONTAINMENT-MIB::wwpLeosBroadcastContainmentCapability

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.6141.2.60.8.1.1

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: WwpLeosBroadcastContainmentCapabilitiesMap

Access: read-only

Description: It shows which of the following (wwpLeosBroadcastContainmentPortId or wwpLeosBroadcastContainmentVlanId or both) can be used as an index in wwpLeosBroadcastContainmentFilterMemTable. If bit 0 of the bit mask (starting from right to left) is set to 1 then wwpLeosBroadcastContainmentVlanId can be used as index. If bit 1 of the bit mask is set to 1 then wwpLeosBroadcastContainmentPortId can be used as index. If both bits are set to 1 then both can be used as index.

What is wwpLeosBroadcastContainmentCapability?

This is a bit mask reporting which index types, VLAN ID, port ID, or both, this device supports for entries in the broadcast containment filter membership table: bit 0 set means VLAN ID can be used as an index, and bit 1 set means port ID can be used. Admins check this before configuring filter membership entries to know whether they can bind a filter to a VLAN, a port, or either. A capability value with both bits set tells the admin this device supports filter membership indexed by either VLAN ID or port ID.
