Description: The interval of time in units of 0.1 ( tenth ) seconds for which the Group Specific Query, is allowed to wait for any response. The inquisitive leave timer is started only when the wwpIgmpSnoopLeaveMode is set to 'inquisitive(2)'.

What is wwpIgmpSnoopInqLeaveTimeout?

This object sets, in tenths of a second and defaulting to 20 (2.0 seconds), how long the switch waits for a response to a Group-Specific Query sent after a leave message, when wwpIgmpSnoopLeaveMode is set to inquisitive(2); the timer only runs in that mode. An admin tunes this to balance how quickly a stream is pruned in inquisitive mode against giving remaining members enough time to respond to the query. For example, an admin might increase this timeout slightly if remote hosts are consistently slow to respond to Group-Specific Queries, causing streams to be pruned prematurely with the shorter default.
