Description: Enables or disables the traps associated with the containment mechanism for this port. When set to true, a trap will be sent when the multicast containment mechanism becomes engaged and a trap will be sent when the multicast containment mechanism becomes disengaged. When set to false, no containment traps will be sent from the multicast containment mechanism for this port.
What is wwpContainmentMulticastTrapsEnable?
This read-write TruthValue (default true) enables or disables SNMP traps for this port's multicast containment mechanism, sending one trap when containment engages and another when it disengages. Admins disable this on ports where they don't want containment state-change notifications flooding the trap receiver. For example, setting this to false on a lab port would silence engage/disengage traps while containment itself keeps functioning.
